The idea of doing less but achieving more seems paradoxical, right?
How in the world are you going to achieve your biggest ambitions if you do less than everyone else?
Most people have a view of what it takes to become successful that is incredibly far from the truth. A lot of people think it takes;
- 12+ hour work days.
- Always being busy + doing other people’s tasks.
- Having an endless todo list.
- Never resting or taking breaks.
- Never sleeping.
- Never quitting.
Achieving success isn’t easy, and from time to time it might include some of those difficult things just outlined — you might have to work extra hours a couple of times, and you might have to miss out on some sleep.
For the most part, however, success doesn’t take more work, it takes less.
Success requires less work, less tasks on the to-do list and less distractions.
Do less and you’ll achieve more.
- When you do less, you can do more of the things that actually matter.
- When you do less, you have more time and energy to dedicate to the important tasks.
- When you do less, you’ll be less distracted and therefore able to frequently enter flow states of high performance.
- When you do less, you have more time for yourself — you can sleep better…
