Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff
Focusing on the Daily Stoic Meditation for August 22 — Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff, as outlined by Ryan Holiday in the bestseller 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance and the Art Of Living.
“It is essential for you to remember that the attention you give to any action should be in due proportion to its worth, for then you won’t tire and give up, if you aren’t busying yourself with lesser things beyond what should be allowed.”
— MARCUS AURELIUS, MEDITATIONS, 4.32b
Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff
How many times do you find yourself feeling anxious, stressed and worried about small things?
Perhaps you’re worried about failing an exam, or you’re scared that you won’t get the job at your upcoming interview. As much as the things you’re worrying about are important, the actual act of being anxious is futile — it won’t get you anywhere, and there’s nothing you can do.
Maybe you worry about everything; you overthink every action of your family & friends, and you worry about every single thing that could go wrong in your life. This type of anxiety too doesn’t help you in life.
