Mind-mapping; a skill that can boost your creativity and productivity π¨π»βπ¨
What is mind-mapping?
A mind map is a simplified and divided diagram used to visually organise information. The purpose of this practice is to provide a structured way to capture and organize ideas and information.
Mind-maps provide a visual diagram of the way information can be split into smaller parts or components. They work to break the bigger picture down into individual parts.
Why is mind-mapping important?
Mind-mapping is based on the power of visual perception. Human beings love to see visual diagrams and displays of things β this helps the brain make strong connections, form memories and simply understand things better.
Imagine you were in a lecture on physics, and the professor was trying to explain, without any diagrams, topics such as reflection and refraction. Trying to imagine how waves would bend and change direction in different materials is quite difficult to imagine without something visual to help β if the professor provided a wavefront diagram, I imagine things would be a lot easier to understand.
Mind-mapping helps you visualise big concepts, and this helps you understand things better.
