there’s two parts to this; noticing the good things, and noticing the bad things.

nature and cool boats !!

notice and celebrate the good things in your life.

notice and take action against the bad things.

noticing, for me, is being aware of something.

it may be physically seeing something, like seeing flowers or bees, or it may involve the other senses too; touch, hearing, touching etc.

importantly though, i’ve found that noticing can come from internal emotional feelings too.

noticing, and becoming aware of things, can come from gut feelings; perhaps you sense that something may turn out bad, or perhaps you have an internal feeling of excitement. this is just as important as the average ways of noticing something.

for example; the past few days, i’ve noticed that i’m becoming more and more tired. i haven’t seen this, or heard it, but i’ve emotionally felt it; i’ve felt my body and my eyes becoming more lethargic, and i’ve felt my focus and happiness drop.

in order to notice things, and become more aware, you need to tune all of your senses and listen to your gut feelings and the things your body tells you.

noticing the good things.

noticing the good things in life is immensely important.

for me, the good things are; pretty flowers, nature, opportunities to succeed and grow, etc. they also include feelings of happiness, love and energy.

the good things can just be simple things that bring you happiness, or they could be bigger things that can lead to great success and advancement.

the good things are simply whatever you want more of in your life, and this is personal to you.

when you can notice these things, your life blossoms into a much happier, more positive place to be.

this ties in heavily to vibrations in the ether, and how you attract what you most think and talk about.

what this means is; in the world, everything vibrates at different frequencies, and this means that you and your thoughts do too.

if your thoughts vibrate in alignment with the positive things in life, you are doubtlessly going to notice & attract those things into your life! because you’re on the right track to notice them and pick up on them.

furthermore, the more you think and talk about those positive things you desire, the more likely they are to appear in your life. the converse is also true; the more you talk bad about yourself and think negative thoughts, the more likely bad things are going to appear and happen to you.

love is particularly important for this. the emotion of love is one of the highest, greatest emotions. if you go into everything with love, rather than hate or anger, you can attract great things.

as Napoleon Hill says,

“the emotion of love, in the human heart and brain, creates a favourable field of magnetic attraction. This causes an influx of the higher and finer vibrations that are afloat in the ether.”

with love and positive thoughts, you can attract more of the things you want to notice!

noticing the bad things.

noticing the bad things is also highly important.

when you’re aware of the bad things, you can work to instantly combat them and ensure that they don’t infect any areas of your life.

the bad things for me; sickness, tiredness, feelings of frustration and anger. i don’t want to live my life being angry, and i know that when i’m ill, i can’t work well and that my happiness decreases. these are some of the bad things i try to combat.

this works for physical things that are bad too, not just emotions. some of the bad things i try to avoid are toxic people, arguments and petty conflicts.

the bad things in life are also personal to you, but they are simply things that you want less of in your life.

when you notice the bad things, the things that try and weigh you down and harm your happiness, you can instantly stop them.

you can take measures to stop the feelings of anger that you feel, such as meditation and exercise.

you can take measures to avoid petty conflict by cutting out negative people in your life — those who do not serve you.

once you’re aware of these bad things creeping in, it’s important that you take the suitable action to remove them! and then you can resume your balanced life of happiness :)

why is this relevant to me?

a couple of days ago, i went back to school; my last full summer term, and it isn’t even a full term because i leave in less than 2 months!

i went from a two week break, which was immensely relaxing and therapeutic, to being thrown back into school; loud, emotionally intense and very draining.

i’d forgotten that school could be that way, and due to how draining it’s been, i’ve found myself getting more and more tired.

physically; my eyes feel so so sleepy! there’s not the most noticiable physical change, but it’s still there.

emotionally; i’ve been lacking focus and not giving my all to classes, revision and my friends. i’ve noticed that emotionally i feel low.

right now, as i’m writing this, i know im not on full energy. definitely not. but that’s okay. i’ve noticed it, and that’s the important first step.

i noticed this yesterday, and so i’ve directed my energy into combating this.

being extra sleepy and tired falls into the bad things category of the things that you need to notice, as lacking energy is never a great thing.

what have i done to combat it and regain energy?

  • sleep! i’ve slept early the past few days, because i know that getting sufficient sleep provides energy and happiness to me. this is your life, and you have to take control of your sleep.
  • journalling. it’s definitely helped to write about my feelings and try to figure out exactly how i feel, and then writing solid plans to combat it. this gives you clarity and direction.
  • setting down boundaries. when you’re lacking energy, the last thing you want is to be doing things for other people that you don’t wanna do! and so the past few days i’ve been saying no, doing the things that i wanna do, and prioritising myself. prioritising yourself is a gamechanger.

as i said previously, i still feel tired right now. but what matters is that i’m on the right trajectory to changing that and regaining energy!!

with the knowledge here, you too can notice the bad things in your life and combat them.

you can notice them and stop them before they become an immensely harmful part of your life!

you can also notice the good things; the sweet smelling flowers, the song you like playing in a distant car, the cool graffiti etc.

you can tune into these good things and allow them to infiltrate your life in the best way possible!

and, importantly, if you’re in tune to these good things, you attract more of them. watch your life blossom into a million good things.
