Who Is Djokovic?
Novak Djokovic is the current world number one ranked tennis player.
At the moment of writing this, he is 6 hours away from playing in the Wimbledon final — if he wins, that’s his eighth title.
Djokovic has won 23 Grand Slam’s, and in 2016 he became the first player since Rod Laver (1969) to hold all the four grand slam titles at the same time (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon & US Open).
Novak Djokovic’s Secrets to Becoming World-Class
“We need to inspire people to dare to dream.” — Novak Djokovic
Djokovic prioritised dreaming big; from a young age he watched players perform well and win at Wimbledon, and this was the start of his passion.
He did not allow limiting beliefs to prevent him from achieving.
He did not allow his mind to convince himself that he wasn’t good enough.
He had a big dream and never gave up on it.
He had a vision; he wanted to become the Wimbledon champion.
He would frequently visualise himself winning the trophy and he even made himself a home made trophy, demonstrating his desire to win.
Visualisation increased his self belief; he became more and more confident that he could win Wimbledon, and anything else he put his mind to within tennis.
He didn’t let any limiting beliefs get in his way — he dreamed big, followed his passion and he allowed this to fuel him onwards.
Love The Process
“I embraced the process of becoming number one of the world, which was long and difficult, but it’s sweeter in the end.” — Novak Djokovic
If you want to master anything, you must love the process.
