Today’s Daily Stoic Meditation outlines how we have the moral duty to keep going.

We have a duty to learn, and that can enable us to keep sailing, even when the only thing you want is to give up.

“This is what you should teach me, how to be like Odysseus — how to love my country, wife and father, and how, even after suffering shipwreck, I might keep sailing on course to those honorable ends.”

— SENECA, MORAL LETTERS, 88.7

Our Duty To Learn

We have a moral duty to learn.

This idea is quite vague, and it encompasses many areas of life.

However, we do have this duty to learn, and we cannot ignore it.

We have the job to go out there and face every challenge, acquiring new knowledge and experiences!

Keep Sailing

You need to keep going, no matter what.

Odyssseus kept sailing, for a whole 10 years!

Despite countless obstacles and difficulties, he kept going.

You need to channel this energy and keep going.

It is your moral duty.

Even When It Gets Difficult
