What is pressure?
Pressure is something that we’ve all experienced at times, yet it’s incredibly hard to define; for me, pressure is like a push that encourages you to do something.
You may feel pressure to achieve well on an exam or pressure to meet a deadline. Pressure is largely subjective and can be different for everyone!

There’s two types of pressure; effective pressure and harmful pressure.
- Effective pressure is the type that can encourage you to achieve your goals and perform well.
- Harmful pressure is the type that can lead to you feeling uncomfortable, overwhelmed and may lead to failure or demotivation.
How to pressure yourself effectively?
When you’re pressuring yourself effectively, there’s two key ways;
- Avoid harmful pressure.
- Motivate yourself.
