Today’s Daily Stoic Meditation outlines a key way to push yourself to get up on those difficult mornings.

We all have days where the last thing we want is to get up, go to work and interact with others.

However, on those days, it is best to shift your perspective and remember that you are made for that hard work, not snuggling under the covers.

“On those mornings you struggle with getting up, keep this thought in mind — I am awakening to the work of a human being. Why then am I annoyed that I am going to do what I’m made for, the very things for which I was put into this world? Or was I made for this, to snuggle under the covers and keep warm? It’s so pleasurable. Were you then made for pleasure? In short, to be coddled or to exert yourself?”

On The Bad Days

We all have bad days, we’re human.

There’ll no doubt be days where you want to stay in bed, under the covers, for hours.

There’ll be days where you want to avoid every social interaction possible and keep to yourself.

We all have these bad days.

What you do on the bad days, however, determines what type of person you are.
