Today’s Daily Stoic Meditation outlines that you have the power to take control.

You do not need to sit and endure countless troubles — you can take control and put a stop to it.

“You’ve endured countless troubles — all from not letting your ruling reason do the work it was made for — enough already!”

— MARCUS AURELIUS, MEDITATIONS, 9.26

Enduring Countless Troubles

Many of us endure countless troubles for no good reason.

The troubles may be big or small — either way, we suffer through them and gain nothing.

You don’t always need to suffer and endure troubles.

You can put a stop to it with control.

Take Control

You have the power to take control.

You can, and should, take control of your own life — your thoughts, actions and feelings.

You do not need to sit and endure countless troubles.

You can take control and put an end to it.

The main way of taking control is enabling your ruling reason to act and thrive.

You must harness the power of your ruling reason and let that do what it was made to do.

Ruling Reason

What?

A ruling reason, usually, is something that provides guidance, direction, and is adhered to at all costs. In the name, it rules over your decisions, actions and thoughts.

Now, it is important not to get the wrong idea; it can sound restrictive, but it isn’t.

To have something constantly rule over you can make it seem like youre losing freedom, but in fact, it is the ruling reason that gives you freedom.

When you have the reason, when you know the direction and always have a ‘why’ to come back to, youre free of the burdens of natural life.

You spend less time making decisions, less time worrying etc, for you can return to your guiding principle/reason.

Made For This

Your ruling reason was made to fight against trivial troubles.

Your ruling reason needs to be harnessed, for it is incredibly powerful and can help you end your unnecessary troubles.
